The
Greater Hamilton Halton Junior Curling League was a
vision in the winter of 1996. That spring, ten
clubs representing seven municipalities in South-Western
Ontario came together to deal with the challenge of
developing a bantam/junior league for their novice
curlers. The league would provide potential world
champions with an opportunity to define and confirm
their interest in curling, while having optimum
recreational fun. It would also provide the member
clubs with opportunities to share ideas and promote
their programs within their clubs and their communities.
Today, our original mandate from the initial 1996/1997
Season has not varied and is held strongly by our member
clubs.
This web site is the latest in the continuing
development of our mandate. It was officially
launched at the end of the 2000/2001 Season and has
undergone serious development. Our intention is to
make it the communication center of our league. It
also provides an avenue for anyone to share ideas on how
to develop and promote the most exciting and rewarding
sport in the world.
Please explore our web site and record your comments in
our guest book. If you have ideas or require
additional information or wish to link with us, please
contact us at skip@juniorcurling.org. We will get
back to you as soon as we can.
